This Privacy Notice is intended to describe the practices EY follows in relation to the EY Parthenon recruitment website (“Website”) with respect to the privacy of all individuals whose personal data is processed and stored via the Website.
2. Who manages the Website?
“EY” refers to one or more of the member firms of Ernst & Young Global Limited (“EYG”), each of which is a separate legal entity and can act as a data controller in its own right. The entity that is acting as data controller by providing this Website on which your personal data will be processed and stored is EY-Parthenon B.V (“EY-Parthenon”).
The Website is hosted on servers in the Netherlands and Germany.
3. Why do we need your information?
The Website provides information on events, possible career paths and job opportunities at EY-Parthenon. Personal data of EY employees and partners is processed on the Website for the purpose of providing information on such events, possible career paths and job opportunities at EY-Parthenon.
If you are merely a visitor to the Website, we do not collect any personal information about you, except to a limited extent through the use of functional and analytical cookies as described hereafter. Cookies are not used to determine the personal identity of anyone merely visiting the Website. Cookies also help us track traffic patterns so that we know how best to improve the Website for our visitors. If you do not want to receive a cookie from the Website, you have the option of setting your browser to notify you when you receive a cookie so that you can determine whether to accept it or not (see your browser settings to do that).
If you submit a job application via the Website, all information requested in the job application form and provided by you will be collected and stored in a system which is licensed by Sales Force Inc. to us for recruitment purposes. Your personal data will be used the process your job application.
EY-Parthenon relies on the following basis to legitimize the processing of your personal data in the Website. Processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by the data controller or by a third party, except where such interests are overridden by the interests or fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject which require protection of personal data. The specific legitimate interest(s) pursued are as follows: human resource management, including performance reviews and recruitment and providing information on our career paths, events and job opportunities.
The provision of your personal data to EY-Parthenon is optional. However, if you do not provide all or part of your personal data, we may be unable to carry out the purposes for processing.
4. What type of personal data is processed in the Website?
EY-Parthenon B.V. a private company registered at, ‘de Boompjes’ Rederijstraat 5, 3011 XR Rotterdam, licenses the System from Bullhorn Connexys the Netherlands, K.P. van der Mandelelaan 68, 3062 MB Rotterdam. Bullhorn Connexys manages the System on behalf of EY-Parthenon for the benefit of EY-Parthenon in Rotterdam.

The Website processes these personal data categories.
If you submit a job application:

- Date of birth
- E-mail address
- Mobile phone number
- Expected graduation date
- How you know us
- Motivation letter
- School grades
- University grades
- Study phase
- Languages spoken
- Preferred start date
If you are an EY employee or partner:
- First name
- Year joined EY
- Additional information via the personal story of EY partners and employees
This data is sourced from you directly.
5. Sensitive Personal Data
Sensitive personal data reveals your racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership, genetic data, biometric data, data concerning health or data concerning sex life or sexual orientation.
EY-Parthenon does not intentionally collect any sensitive personal data from you via the Website. The Website’s intention is not to process such information.
6. Who can access your information?
Your personal data is accessed in the Website by the following persons/teams.
Provided that you have submitted a job application, access to your personal information is limited by need. All recruitment staff within EY-Parthenon have access to your profile on the database and are able to match your details to current vacancies. The recruiter is administrator of the CRM account and is able to change and/or edit your personal information. Alterations such as the aforementioned flagged for the administrator to see.
The access rights detailed above involves transferring personal data in various jurisdictions (including jurisdictions outside the European Union) in which EY operates (EY office locations are listed at www.ey.com/ourlocations). EY will process your personal data in the Website in accordance with applicable law and professional regulations in your jurisdiction. Transfers of personal data within the EY network are governed by EY’s Binding Corporate Rules (www.ey.com/bcr).
In addition, various IT suppliers of EY may have access to your personal data.
7. Data Retention
The policies and/or procedures for the retention of personal data in the Website are: if you have submitted a job application, your data will not be kept more than 4 weeks after your application has been closed, unless you grant permission for your data to be held longer. In this case your personal data will be retained for a period of 12 months.
Your personal data will be retained in compliance with privacy laws and regulations.
After the end of the data retention period, your personal data will be deleted.
EY is committed to making sure your personal data is secure. To prevent unauthorized access or disclosure, EY has technical and organizational measures to safeguard and secure your personal data. All EY personnel and third parties EY engages to process your personal data are obliged to respect your data’s confidentiality.
9. Controlling your personal data
EY will not transfer your personal data to third parties (other than any external parties referred to in section 6 above) unless we have your permission or are required by law to do so.
You are legally entitled to request details of EY’s personal data about you.
To confirm whether your personal data is processed via the Website or to access your personal data via the Website, contact your usual EY representative or email your request to email@example.com.
10. Rectification, erasure, restriction of processing or data portability
You can confirm your personal data is accurate and current. You can request rectification, erasure, restriction of processing or a readily portable copy of your personal data by contacting your usual EY representative or by sending an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you are concerned about an alleged breach of privacy law or any other regulation, contact EY’s Dutch Privacy Officer, Office of the General Counsel, Boompjes 258, 3011 XZ, Rotterdam or via e-mail at email@example.com or via your usual EY representative. An EY Privacy Officer will investigate your complaint and provide information about how it will be handled and resolved.
If you are not satisfied with how EY resolved your complaint, you have the right to complain to your country’s data protection authority. You can also refer the matter to a court of competent jurisdiction.
